Within the scope of the Max Planck grassroots project AirCap and Autonomous MoCap, there is one open student assistant (HiWi) position. It can also lead to an opportunity for doing master thesis in the Robot Perception group at the Perceiving Systems department.
If you like making robots (specially, aerial robots), have some background in control engineering and/or computer vision, and enjoy programming, this position will be suitable for you. In general, the position seeks students with background in Electrical or Computer engineering but is not limited to these areas. You should be available to work 40 hours per month or more.
The HiWi responsibilities include i) implementation of low-level control algorithms in flying robots, and ii) directly collaborating with one of the team members on ongoing projects within the robot perception group. Master theses topics may be arranged after discussion with the project leader on a case-to-case basis.
Students without a Bachelor’s degree will earn €10.14 per hour. Master students holding a Bachelor’s degree will be paid €11.79 per hour.The position is available as of now until filled. The duration of the contract is for six months with the possibility of an extension. Enrolment at a German university is a requirement for a HiWi position.
