The Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen is looking for a student / research assistant / HiWi (studentische / wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft), who will be able to work 15-20h per week (negotiable).
At the Perceiving Systems Department, we (M. Alejandra Quiros-Ramirez, Abhinanda Ranjit Punnakkal, Partha Ghosh, and Michael J Black https://ps.is.tue.mpg.de) are working on modeling the relationship between linguistics, perception and the human body (shape, pose, motion). Part of this effort is the creation of datasets for learning this relationship. One way of creating these datasets is by setting up online data collections in Amazon Mechanical Turk (AMT).
We are seeking for a motivated and creative student to help us with these kind of data collections. The main tasks will involve the development of online tools to label videos, visualizations of collected data for quality control, and collected data post-processing. English and vast experience in web-development are a must. Knowledge in pythonis welcome. Experience with AMT and data-set labelling is a plus.
